So, updates since the last post. I was in my 1st sem then, and I'm in my final sem for foundation now. Time flies at the wink of an eye. I can't wait to finish my foundation! then holiday! weee! ~
The project with the Somali school is going great. Somehow, I feel part of their community each time I go there. They said I am their sister, which feels incredible really.
Looking back from the time when I was in school, I've learned so much since then. I've been privileged to meet so many wonderful people who exposed me to environments I never knew existed.
People need to realize that there is more to learning that what we get in classrooms. As important as book smarts are, they don't mean anything if you don't know what's happening in the real world. People really need to get out more, because the lessons learnt in the real world will prove worthwhile.
I've got to travel to a lot of places recently(Thank u TIG! ).. and each one of them has left me with a lasting impression.
I can't wait to go back to London, even in the winter. Though the people there are much like their weather, the place is absolutely beautiful!
And Singapore, I've learnt to not hate it as much as I used too. I actually really like the people there, and the shopping is just great.
And lastly, Hong Kong. What can I say..you have made me a very strong person. I'm actually surprised at how well I handled the situation come to think of it. Though you were not meant to be my final destination, somehow you provided me the most valuable experience from all my travels. And I can't wait to go back there just because of that.(And the screaming lady in the airport). :p
